    Facebook
I'm thinking about leaving Facebook and coming back to Live Journal. Facebook, like Myspace, is just another place where people can post a bunch of pictures of themselves and talk about absolutely nothing.

    greetings
Letting everyone know that I am still alive. If you want to add me to facebook, look up Michael Rayborn and look for the animated gothic image of a man holding a gun and a woman in dark victorian attire.

    Getting off the Grid Again
I am strongly considering the idea of "getting off the grid" and living by my wits once again.

I have a backback, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, rain gear, misquito cover, shovel, hand ax, pocket knife, nylon rope, first aid kit, shaving kit, mess kit, a single person tent and a few other things necessary for survival.

There are many tactics for finding the Necessities of Life:

    1. Food can be obtained in a great number of ways. If you are in the city, it can be obtained from dumpsters. This actually isn't as gross as it sounds *if* you are Vegan. The reason being is that perfectly fine fruits, breads, and veggies are thrown away in the most wasteful manner imaginable. They can be easily washed and then eaten. Veggies can be chopped up and then made into a soup. Any surplus of fruits can simply be sun-dried and then saved in ones backback. Any nutrition deficiencies can be rectified by going into the dumpsters of health food stores and obtaining expired vitamins and suppliments. If you are out in the wilderness, you can subside off of caught fish, worms, bugs, and nuts for protein and fat, as well as berries, fruits, wild tubers, and so forth for starch and/or other energy/carbohydrate sources. Wild greens provide many of the needed vitamins and minerals. These things are not terribly difficult to obtain, especially if you continously migrate, moving to the Northern Parts of the United States during the summer and then moving down to the Southern Parts during the winter. Keep in mind that food and water are *the most* important thing and when you wake up in the morning this is the first thing that one should obtain. Suprisingly enough, most of this can be take care within the span of 2 hours. If you are into Urban Survival, macronutrients may be more difficult to obtain, ie protein/fat/carbs. Just think "rice/beans/olive-canola oil". This will cover your macronutrients and is very inexpensive. Food for a week can be obtained by merely collecting cans for a day and then cashing them in, or if you are more daring one can Creatively Aquire these things from one of the major global supermarkets (don't do this to the local mom&pop businesses, they deserve your support). As an Odian I have the ethic of Self Reliance, I do not advocate staying in homeless shelters, going to food pantries or getting "Link"...that is not seperation from the system, rather it is being even more ingrained into the system. I am proposing Self Reliance and DEFIANCE, not "freeloading" while under the deluded pretense that you are "free". If you must take from the system then don't take the pussy way out by going on welfare, at least have the fucking balls to steal what you need.

    2. Shelter is very important. If you are constantly migrating then cold weather is not really an issue here, but if it is then be sure you have a thermal sleeping bag and warm weather gear. It is good to have a nice tent and you can easily camp in concealed places such as behind buildings, under bridges, or out in the woodlands one the edges of suburbia, or at least a city that sits in the midst of a heavily wooded area (such as Rockford or Beloit). Some people suggest "squating" which is basically breaking into buildings and sleeping in them, an activity that I myself have not yet tried. I read somewhere that this is much easier to do then most people think and that cops are NOT authorized to go into private property without a warrent even if they have a permit. This is not legal advise and I do not know if that is true or not.

    3. It is very important that you maintain your overall health while venturing off the grid or into the "underground". Be sure to have your full range of fruits and vegetables, preferably fresh. Contact a local naturopath and try to see if you can barter with him or her for herbal salves, oils, brews, and so forth for health maintainence and self healing. Exercise, meditate, and do energy work on a daily basis. Dumpster suppliments from Health food stores. Most importantly keep a first aid kit on you at all times: thread, needle, scalpal (for minor surgery), rubbing alchol, bandages, aspirin, and so forth.

    4. One thing that is essential to good health is hygene. Soap can be obtained anywhere in the urban setting, all you have to do is obtain it from any restroom. There you can wash yourself. Baking soda is inexpensive and can be used to brush your teeth and can be put on ones feet and armpits to keep them dry and free from odours and fungal infections.
If you can obtain anti-fungal spray that is even better.

    5. Your cloths can be washed by simply keeping a small washboard on you. Simply go into a gas station with a lock, fill the sink with water, and then wash your cloths. Be sure to run it up and down the board over and over again and keep doing it until no brown water is running off the cloth while you are scrubbing. If you pack lightly this will not be much of a chore. This is especially easy if you wear all black and wear black cloth dress pants instead of jeans. Your cloths can easily be air dried. Pants can generally be worn for a few days before washing, shirts and socks should always be washed.

    6. There are plently of opportunities for keeping busy and develope into a whole person. Intellectual, Creative, Physical, Spiritual, and Sexual activities do not cost anything at all. Papers, pens, and pencils are pretty much free and can be dumpstered anywhere.
A large branch can be whittled into an attractive "wood spirit staff" which can easily be bartered and sold...all you need is a knife or a carving tool set. Learning to sing and play an accoustic instrument is always good. Just pick a corner on a street, keep out a coffee can and play. In exchange for entertainment people will often quite generously drop money into your can or hat. For intellectual developement one can read books in a library to research their favourite topics, often many people out of necessity will have to seperate from the system to write about topics that are not lucrative in our society or are too controversal to be of any mainstream use. Also, by learning to "live simply" one can free up time normally spent towards working for rent, material possessions, and so forth so that they can persue their intellectual loves. Physical developement is crucial to well being and fitness. Ones cardio will often be built up through the constant walking / biking they will be doing while being "out of the system". Pragmatic manual skills such as building, wrestling, boxing, swimming, knife fighting, digging, chopping, hopping fences, running from cops, ect. are actually Necessary for both Urban and Wilderness survival. When learning these skills always keep "K.I.S.S." in mind: Keep it Simple Stupid. Fancy kung fu moves might look kewl in the movies but will get your ass kicked in real life.

    7. This brings us to Self Defense. YOU CANNOT LEARN THIS FROM A BOOK! Learn from a teacher, preferably a freestyle school (JKD or MMA/NHB) or if you prefer Traditional then learn Jiu Jitsu or Ninjistu (both of which are battle tested form a big part of the MMA/NHB cirriculum). Here are some guidelines that I use:

    A. Stand Up Range
Practice your jab/cross over and over and over again. The "chain punch" or "flurry" is a very basic and effective fighting maneuver. It is even better if you use "open hands" because you won't break your knuckles and your hands are always open so that you can effectively parry and grab.
Next, learn your elbow attack/defense. There is actually a style called "53 Blocs" which was developed among the black urban populations in the Bronx in which the principles of boxing were applied to elbow strikes. The methodology is very simple: instead of using the uppercut/hook/overhand punch, the elbows are used instead and are delivered with the same biomechanics. This is obviously more useful in a streetfight than using your fists. The elbow is much more solid and it won't break if you smash it into someones skull. Head movement is also very important to train: the slip, bob, & weave. It is important because it will help you evade punches & they add synergy to your reposities. For an example, if someone throws the usual "John Wane" at you then you can weave to evade the blow and use the moment of the weave to deliver a bone crushing hooking elbow to the side of their head, effectively knocking them the fuck out. The slip is especially important if you are of short stature and especially if you are a grappler because it will allow you to get inside for effective in-fighting (elbows, clinches, takedowns)
Mastering footwork is not only easy but is also crucial to effective maneuvering, basical outline is the advance, retreat, sidestep, flank left/right, triangle, pendulum, pivot, bounce and spin. Good footwork can also add power to your punches so that you can deliver bonecrushing strikes. Kicks should be kept both low and simple. The front snap, front push, low round, back, side stomp and cross stomp are really the one ones you need to know. The front snap is excellent for striking the shins. Front push is best delivered to the balls or belly and will push back your foeman if he has you cornered. The low round kick is best delivered to the thigh where there is a nerve that will cause a cramp that will numb the whole leg thus rendering it useless. The back kick is good for someone coming from your rear, the side is good for someone coming to your side, the cross stomp can be delivered to the knee, effectively breaking it, and the stomp kick can finish a downed apponent very quickly and quite messily ("curbing" or "boot party").

    B. The Clinch Range

The Clinching Range is the gap between striking and grappling, and can be used to deliver the most deadly strikes imaginable or transist to the grappling stage (or the Body Cast Stage as I like to call it, you'll see why later on). There are many different types of clinches. First, there is the neck clinch in which the neck is pinched between the forearms while the hands are locked behind it. Through subtle footwork and manipulating the head it can be brought into the range of the knees in which it can be hammered continuosly, usually resulting in concusion, head fractures, or even death. Also, there is a method called "rolling" in which the head is "rolled" by the forearms and by generating momentum the elbow can be delivered to the head while in the clinch, allowing the clincher to bash his opponent over and over again. The neckclinch often leads to the "guillotine" in which the neck is cranked and choked at the same time, this can lead to suffocation or spinal cord injury. The torso clinch is rarely used in conjunction with the strike, usually it is used to suplex the opponent onto the ground and transist into the grappling range.

    C. The Grappling Range

The first aspect of the grappling range is the takedown. These are the basic takedowns: lower body (double/single leg), upper body (slam, suplex, over the shoulder), and sweeps/trips. Pragmatically one can get by just by knowing the suplex and double leg...these are the two most useful in my opinion. The suplex/slam are particularly useful because they can be done from the clinching range with great ease. However, an experienced grappler will be particularly adept at avoiding basic takedowns/slams/suplex and a bit more finesse and knowledge will be needed to best him. One you down your opponet with a take down you must establish *position* and *control*. The main positions are: top mount, side mount, back mount, and gaurd. Control is established by effectively *riding* your opponent. This is best done by remaining totally calm and relaxed and simply adjusting your weight distribution, applying it in whatever direction your opponent tries to escape. Once effective control is established one will have to *finish* the restrained opponent. This is down through the "ground & pound", strangulation, neck/spinal contortion, or joint locks. These are far too numerous to discuss, but the basic ones are: "necktie"(wrapping the opponents own arm around his neck with one hand while bashing him with your elbow or head), rear naked (sometimes called the sleeper, it is a rear choke), crucifix (a spinal contortion), arm/shoulder/knee bar, wrist/ankle lock, key/scissor lock, and kemura. Escapes and reversals should also be trained and it is best to develope "chains" in which one creates a variety of set ups.

    D. Weapons

One should learn how to use weapons designed to slash, peirce, crush, shot, or thrown. Knife fighting should be kept simple and pragmatic...a basic knowledge of slashing and thrusting is called for. If you are right handed, then you should have your right foot forward and your weapon should be in your right hand and visa versa. The other hand should be used to grab/parry. When using your weapon think "horizontal, diagnal, verticle" in terms of slashing and visualize an eight spoked wheel. This is a basic guide to slashing. The thrust, however, is your most basic and fundament attack and should be mastered first and foremost. These same principles apply to the staff, stick, and virtually every other weapon. Also, skills learned in unarmed striking will automatically transfer into this...a golden gloves boxer would actually be pretty deadly with a knife whether he trained with one or not simply because the biomechanics are the same.
A telephone pole is probably the best thing to train on because it is made of wood and will not really damage the sharpness of your blade too much, just make sure there are no nails in it. In fact, the telephone pole or tree is the "poor mans makawara" and can be used to condition the hands, fore arms, shins, feet, elbows, knees, and head. Be sure to wrap it in foam (which can be dumpstered) and then wrap it in duct tape. This will provide some padding so that you can strike the pole with maximum power without injury. Also, the foam can give the feeling of actual flesh and can be stabbed in knife fighting practice. One should also practice throwing rocks or bricks at bottles as a way to train throwing skills. Sling shots can be practiced in the same way.

    8. Persue Your Dreams

Seperating from the system is not an end in and of itself but is actually a MEANS to an end. By seperating from the system you will be able to find out what you really are and fullfill your lifes purpose and escape the "wheel of suffering". We are reborn over and over again and will continue to suffer if we sell ourselves out for status, respect, material gain, and power. These things take us away from ourselves and the true meaning of life. When you are forced to repeat a singular task over and over again, day in and day out then you are destroying your autonomy and eventually your Self and Soul...allowing the system to continuously beat you down as you suffer humiliation and degradation as you are reduced to nothing more than a single function insect. You will then reflect your own misery on your family and then the cycle will perpetuate itself forever as you are reborn through the bloodline, repeating the same mistakes in the persuit of meaningless attachments. Both Woden and Buddha are described as vagrant wanderers in their respective mythologies because they are both seekers of wisdom and enlightment...they have detached themselves from the social matrix in which they were raised so that they can persue spiritual aims as the anceint Yogis and Vitki did in anceint times.

    9. Finding a means of transportation is very important. First, you need a map and a compass and know where you are going. Then you have to determine your mode of transportation. One can travel by foot or through bicycle. Train hopping and hitch hiking are also effective means of transportation, be sure to keep your wits about you, have good social skills, and a means of self defense so that you won't end up killed because you are stupid, offensive, or just a pussy who can't fight through a wet paper bag.

I've been thinking about her again. I heard that she came back to Chicago and I tried to send her a message but she did not respond. We ended our freindship a while back but I made an attempt to salvage something, but no response. But then again, this is probably because I just sent it today. She probably won't respond for a while because she tried to send me a message but I did not respond out of spite for a while and then I wrote her a hate mail describing how horrible she was. It is amazing how something like love or infatuation can make us say some pretty mean things to those that mean the most to us. In reality, I just want to know if she is okay. I have no hard feelings towards her and I care about her very deeply even though I tend to say things that are contrary to that. It would bring me great joy to just be around her again, to sit with her face to face and tell her that I am sorry. She is such a beautiful person and I will love her for eternity. If you are reading this, please say something to me. I don't want to lose you.

    The Victory of Feminism
In the anceint Indo European Taditions it was customary for the boys to be raised by the men, especially after the age of 8 years old.

The only thing positive about modern day monotheism is that it does conserve certain aspects of Traditional Culture. The mysogeny in monotheism (especially Catholicism and the Islamic Faith), as rediculous as it is at times does have the positive side effect of the Fathers taking a more active role in raising their Sons (all though this is done in fear of their sons becoming "fags" due to being over nurtured by the mother).

Our Modern society is moving away from Monotheism, all though what it is moving towards is actually WORST than Monotheism itself: Atheism. Atheism is the favoured religion of the American Left which seeks to appose the American Religious Right. We could say that the American Left represents the worst aspects of the Feminine and the American Right represents the worst aspects of the Masculine.

The American Public School system is dominated by the American Left. The reason why is because the college professors of the teachers who recieved their degrees are usually of a Left Wing bent. Most teachers are also female.

Many supporters of Feminism (which is a Left Wing ideology, and since most school teachers are female and left wing, they are almost always Feminist) erroneously believe that Boys and Girls should be raised and taught in the exact same way as a way to make them "eqaul". But what they do not realize is that all though they are equal in worth that does not make them the *same*. The problem is that they think that just because they WANT them to be the same means that they SHOULD be the same despite the lengthly scientific and biological evidence that says otherwise. A political ideology that does not measure up to reality is fundamentally flawed, and yet it is this political ideology which dominates the very school systems which we were all brought up in.

When the Boys reach puberty they begin to become more aggressive and have an inability to sit down. In fact, they are often like this BEFORE they hit puberty. Why? Because they are males and it is really that simple. However, many of the Feminist teachers fail to realize this fundamental fact and end up punishing the Boys for their unique biology. They do not understand the Boys nor CAN they understand them. Many of these Feminist teachers also have rape / molestation issues (which brought them to feminism in the first place) and often reflect their own insecurities on the Boys that are under their care, often emotionally scarring them in the process and thus turning them into the very mysogenists that they claim to hate.

In the Anceint Traditions both Boys and Girls were seperated during Education. Boys were taught and brought up by Men, and Girls were taught and brought up by Women. This goes beyond "seperation of the sexes" for its own sake, but places the young ones in the hands of someone who can actually UNDERSTAND them.

Modern Society often underestimates the Need for their children to be raised and taught by someone of the same sex. One of the greatest problems lies not just in the Feminists, but in Fathers who simply refuse to take part in raising their children. They either leave their Wife or Girlfreind and leave her to raise the children, or they work overtime (so that they can pay for that overpriced car and boat) and spend every spare hour in the bar instead of taking part in raising their sons.

The reason why many Fathers do this is because they do not understand that it is actually in their best interests to make sure their sons are raised as properly as possible. In the Northern Tradition, the Hamingja, Clann-Fylgia, and Orlog is passed from Father to Son. If the Father does not take part in raising the Son then he is actually screwing himself because he will be Reborn in the descendents of his very Son....which means he could be reborn in abject poverty...or worst...not reborn at all!

Our Germanic ancestors always placed a great importants in their children and took great interest in preparing for their Death and Rebirth. Most people these days only care about instant gratification and what they could have right now, but place little stock in properly raising their children and investing in their most important asset: their BLOOD!

If a Father did not take part in raising his son and let his Wife run roughshod all over the household (lets not forget...the Feminine symbolizes CHAOS and must be balanced by the Masculine ORDER) and only cared about his physical possessions and threw money at every problem then he would be perceived as a disgrace by his neighbors (and since our ancestors lived in a rural neighborhood and were probably very bored at times you can be sure that they watched each other), and that persons manhood would be questioned. The reason why that persons manhood would be questioned is because the ability to Harness and Direct are masculine qaulities. If the family fell into chaos and disorder then it is first and foremost the fault of the head of the household, and that would be the Man. It would not be the fault of the Woman because the Feminine is Chaos and thus behaves very much like water and only takes the course dug out by the Man. It may sound sexist but it is very true. This means that the Masculine presense in the house is weak and has not matched the Feminine on an eqaul or greater level. When this happens on a macrocosmic level the Hindus called this the Kali Yuga, which is when the Dark Mother of Chaos reigns during the end of the world. This is because the Divine Masculine provides the *structure* of the cosmos and society where as the Divine Feminine provides the *flesh* fo the cosmos and society...thus there must be cooperation between the stuff of Order (Consciousness) and the stuff of Chaos (Energy) an imbalance towards the Masculine results in physical death, and an imbalance towards the Feminine results in the death of consciousness. These are the imbalances that the American Right and Left ultimately lead to.

In the rare moment that I post in my live journal.....

I've been doing well in Rockford. I just applied for a gym membership and have been swimming every day. I started out doing 9 laps a day and then worked up to 12, then 18, then 24 all the way to 36. In this pool, 36 laps is a mile.

I was at this health food store and I was talking to this attractive young lady and she told me that she did gymnastics. I was kind of shocked because in the Carpentersville/Elgin area there are only gymnastics classes for children. Things are different in Rockford and their are also classes for adults. I think the reasoning for this is because of the popularity of martial arts and dancing in Rockford, and gymnastics is often taken by people who wish to improve their skills in those two areas. I myself would like to take some gymnastics, I've always lamented the fact that I never took gymnastics and admire my younger cousins for getting involved in that amazing sport.
It is certainly one of the more difficult sports and requires a tremendous amount of functional strength, balance, and agility. It is also a very anceint sport and gymnastics was one of the many things that anceint greek pagan athletes could partake in to prove their worthiness to the Gods and their countrymen during the Olympics.

I was also offered a job to be an apprenice pressman. Learning to operate a press offers amples amount of opportunity, especially considering the fact that I interact with many writers and am myself a writer of sorts and could greatly benifit from this knowledge.

Unfortunately, the job site is one hour away from where I live. This could be a problem as I do like certain things about Rockford, mainly the dirt cheap rent and the various facilities (swimming pool, a place to train in gymnastics, a place to train in martial arts, a college with reasonable rates, ect.).

    Too many decisions!

grains of time passes obsidian darkness
flowing from the tides of hellish dreams
    singing rays of moonlit spiders
drink the spurious webs of destruction

haunting the caverns of winged horrors
pouring from the skulls of giants
    sickening green crevices spewing maggots
    trollish maws masticating filth

blackened spirits in red blood screaming
    fluid silken strands of nightweave
wrapping the larvae strapped to deadwood
flung apon the shores of unborn death

    screaming hatred echoes forked tongues
dancing devilishly apon the feiry tides
    giant phallace raping purtrid corpse
    semen fills ancient cadavers

    mighty lords
    come to ride
    come to change the tides
    victory is ours
    the battle begins
    into glory ride

like molten lava spewing from valcanic tepes
love flows from my heart in a confetti of rage
time passes by as the planets circle the sun
for some the churnings in their soul die over time
but for others....they grow only stronger
deeply i look into your doe shaped eyes
on the outside everyone sees a beautiful girl
but there are a few who penetrate the outer skin
and they pass the ring of fire to kiss the beauty
what is the nature of your soul?
fires of passion and creative power
a sphere of power which radiates pure love
and the swords are pointed to the sun
arrows of fire penetrate the silvery moon
the fire is the phallace of my soul
and the moon is your watery depths
awaiting to be filled with my power
and this is a power that flows in my blood
only to take you further and beyond life
out of the world that cages you in
and further than you have ever been taken before

    Gnosticism, Greek Mysteries, and Odianism
Contrary to popular beleif, the original Christianity was actually Pagan and not Judaic.

Let us examine the word Christ. The word Christ comes from the Greek Word Khristos which means "The Annointed One". It was a Greek Word used by Greek Pagans to lable someone who was a member of a Greek Mystery Tradition. Thus, in the original usage of the word, a "Christian" was someone who was a member of the Greek Mystery Tradition which was totally Pagan.

Christianity, as it is practiced today was formed when the Jews came into contact with the Greco-Roman people and their Mystery Traditions. One of these Jews went by the name of Jeshua bin Joseph and who is known today by the Romanized name of "Jesus Christ".

Any close examination of Jesus's words and teachings will show that they are ultimately derived from the Greek Mystery Traditions. For an example, the title "Christ" was utilized by the Greek Mystery Tradition. Also, there were many other Jewish Christs other than Jesus that started to incorperate Greek Gnosticism into their Hebrew Tradition, thus forming Hebrew Gnosticism which is the Proto-Type for the Christianity of today.

In the strictist linquistic sense, the "Original Christianity" predates Jewish Gnosticism and can be traced back to the Greek Pagan Mystery Tradition. I would also like to point out that there is a difference between a christ and The Christ. Jeshua bin Joseph was only a christ but absolutely was not The Christ, which was seen as Eternal by members of the Mystery Tradition. The Christ was the God that initiated the christs into the Mysteries, thus Dionysus, Apollo, and Hermes were THE Christs, the main initiators rather than the initiates.

I have deciphered Nine Central Points which outline The Original Pagan Christianity, and it is divided into 3 sections: The Masculine Aspects, The Feminine Aspects, and the Unifying Actions which create a Union between the Masculine and Feminine Aspects which in turn leads The Source or The One.

The Masculine Aspects are Apollo (Divine Vision), Hermes (Divine Communion), and Dionysus (Divine Ecstacy)

The Feminine Aspects are Artemis (Purity, The Virgin), Sophia (Wisdom, The Anima Sanctum), and Aphrodite (Love, The Sacred Whore)

The Unifying Actions are Ascesis (Links Purity to Vision), Questioning (Links Wisdom to Communication), and Indulgence (Links Ecstacy to Love).

What I outlined above are the bare meat and bones of the original Pagan Gnostic Tradition. Those who subscribed to the above principles (which predates the Hebrew Gnostic belief of today) were members of Greek Mystery Institutions and called themselves Christians, which means that they were Annointed Initiates of these Traditions.

Of course, some groups focus on less than Nine of these principles and went on to form their own groups. For an example, the Ophites focused more on the "Dionysian" aspects, and modern Christianity is a bastardized Hebrew Gnosticism that took on a perverse "Apollonian" stance. However, the original Gnostic Tradition was a Hermetic One and sought to synthesize ALL aspects as a means to become The One, totally whole and undivided.

The Dionysian Path utilizes sensory overload, ie music, food, sex, and dance as a means to acheive ecstacy.

The Apollonian Path utilizes sensory deprivation or ascesis, ie fasting and abstinance, as a means to regenerate the senses and acheive clarity of vision. This corresponds with the god Odin abstaining from food and drink while hanging on the World Tree to win the Runes or Mysteries of Self/Cosmos.

However, the Dionysian Path will eventually lead to the exhaustion of the senses in which one will -by Necessity- have to eventually abstain from worldly pleasures so that regeneration of the senses can take place. This corresponds with the god Odin seducing the giantess Gunnlod to win the Mead of Inspiration.

The Apollonian Path is also not without its pitfalls. By abstaining TOO LONG one will create an intense build up and this will eventually lead to an intense Dionysian release.

Thus, one Path will always lead to the Other and will cause cause anquish and guilt in those who identify too strongly with one Path or the Other. This is where the wisdom of Hermes comes into play.

Hermes represents Divine Communication and is able to reconcile the Ordered Shining Self with the Chaotic Dark Self. He basically reconciles these radically different Sons of Zeus and creates peace between them through Communication. Hermes synthesizes all opposites. This corresponds with the god Odin giving up one of his eyes to drink of the well of wisdom, ie giving up a divided "two eyed" way of looking at things and instead seeings things as whole, undivided, and One.

The problem with Modern Christianity and Modern Satanism is that they are divided, one sides, and ultimately ineffective forms of religious and spiritual developement. Modern Christianity, -as I pointed out before- , is a maligned and twisted Apollonian Path and Satanism is a maligned and twisted Dionysian Path. The Hermetic or Odian approach is superior because they would *synthesize* the Indulgent and Ascetic Paths into a single spirituality which reconciles both sides. This is why Odin can engage in sexual activity (the seduction of Gunnlod) as well ascetic activity (hanging on the world tree) for spiritual growth.

Both Modern and Christianity are basically havens for people who are unable to reconcile with their own Shadow Selves. The Shadow Self of Christianity is Satan (The Evil Indulger), and the Shadow Self of Satanism is Jesus (The Pale and Dry Abstainer from Life). Following these Paths creates a split in the personality in which they identify with the Good/Bad Guy and reject his opposite and project it onto other people rather than seeing it in themselves. The Hermetic and Odian Path veiws such approaches as silly and immature. In the Eddas, Odhinn becomes blood brothers with Loki, The Dark Lord of Chaos...thus he accepts and has reconciled with his own Shadow Self. The God Hermes freely interacts with both Prometheus and Zeus, Gods and Titans, Apollo and Dionysus. He is comfortable with all aspects of reality, thus is comfortable with all aspects of himself and realizes that all things are nothing but fractal circus mirror reflections of himself.

I do not think that Christianity or even Gnosticism could be consider viable spiritual paths for out time, and my reasoning for this is very simple: In Western Culture the belief that one will "burn in Hell" if they do not accept Jesus as their personal savior runs so very deep that one can only assume that the only reason why somone is Christian is because of this very deep seeded fear.

Even those who claim to be "enlightened Christians" that are "accepting" or even "Gnostic" should be suspect. Why not the Original Pagan Gnosticism or the Odian Path? Why not Druidism? Why not choose a Path that your Ancestors practiced? In the course of True Spiritual Developement one must overcome the fear of the Shadow Self, break through social boundries so that the Truth can be realized unhindered by opinion, and Know Thyself to its very core. Therefore, to be interested in the Mystery Traditions of your primordial and direct ANCESTORS is a noble spiritual undertaking which leads to Self Knowledge. If you are of Germanic Descent, and you know about the Odian Path and still persue Jewish Gnosticism then it is very clear to me that you are avoiding something, because if you were truely concerned with Gnosis (realization of Absolute Truth), then why are you not taking an advantage of your genetic memory pool?

The reason is very simple...you want to be involved in something occult and mysterious but you still have an ego-attachment to Christianity which is probably linked with an irrational fear of going to Hell, and it is really that simple. This type of irrational fear must absolutely be stamped out before genuine spiritual developement can take place, and the only way to do that is to reject Christianity (including Christian Gnosticism) totally and completely. Those of non-Jewish descent CANNOT truely benifit from Christianity, Catholicism, or even the Christian Gnosticism...fear of the burning Hell simply runs too deep in the Western Psyche, and this kind of fear is deleterious to true spiritual developement which involves transcending this type of fear. If the "burning in hell dynamic" never existed, then maybe it would be viable as a spiritual path.

    I am still alive.
It has been a while since I posted on my live journal and this is a habbit that I will be getting back into.

Partly because someone may copy and past this as a record of the life of The Great Michael of Rae Burne II , but also because of the amazing insights that I have been missing out on due to not checking my freinds posts ( Robin, Darah, Ayla, Michelle, Roxy, Ashe, Guy, ect.). I miss all of you...yes even you Guy ;P

So, what has become of this Michael of Rae Burne the II? He is now living in Rockford, IL and is working for a Tool and Die company through Danahur making Actuators.

He also lives in a cheap apartment ($320 a month) out in the dark midst of the ghetto with no furniture, spiders nesting in every corner, earwigs crawing out of drains, broken smoke alarms, holes in a the wall with a red heart spray painted on the closet mirror door. Well, I do have a fouton mattress, a desk, and a bookshelf...and a really neat Tibetan singing bowl...w00t!

There is also an abundance of "easy women" in Rockford, it is so easy to get laid that I am suspicious of taking an advantage of this due to the obvious fact that there are serpentine venerial diseases lurking in the dark dank caverns of doom which are begging for fool hardy (and horny) explorers to enter. Be sure to wear your armor...for deadly dragons await!

The Dragon rises from the terrible depths
Haughtily it wings it way into the heavens above
Riding apon the cold winds of Asgard
It sweeps through the midnight darkness

It bellows forth ashen clouds and infernal flames
As the cosmos becomes consumed by an infernal glory
The Lady weeps as the empty riverbanks are filled with gold
and the old One Eye embraces her

and Odin looks into her eyes and says...

Do you remember so long ago...when we were mortals

When we played in the grass...

when we laughed and we loved

Do you remember the wars that I fought

do you remember when I slew the one who hurt you....

and created the world with his body?

Do you remember the poetry that I sung to you...

and the tears that rolled down your cheeks as you listened?

Do you remember when we danced in the wind while the moon light pour over us?

But it all seems like a dream...and it all fades away.

All I could think of was the first time I met her....

and now I am being consumed by the Wolf, and I feel myself dying

    all of those memories....of war..of love..of poetry...of dancing...of great adventures...

and most of all of Her....

but it is all now lost....

and I feel myself drifting into the darkness

and being swallowed into the belly of the Wolf

I love those moments of stress, sadness, and pressure because they always seem to lead to "break throughs" if you endure and move through those moments. I've had a tremendous amount of insights in the past 24 hours. That is when I laugh at my distress and myself...only to realize that these unpleasent moments will always pass.

I found this place where I can get a gun card, but then I wonder...should I really own a pistol or a rifle? I get so frustrated with myself and others that I would probably kill everyone and then myself afterwards. Just imagine...a 9mm fully loaded and on my computer desk. Then I click on a certain somebodies blog entry, read certain things that only scar my heart even further. BAM! That is when I feel the heart ache spill from the hole blasted into the side of my cranium. I am glad that I do not have immediate internet access and I am also glad that I do not own a pistol.Pistols and the internet are very bad for me...the less of them the better. Something they both have in common with women.

Speaking of which, I ran into a very beautiful blonde girl while going for a walk in the park. She was walking her dog. Of course, I commented on her dog which broke the ice and we started to talk. Strangely enough she invited me to a bar and bought me a drink (shouldn't it be the other way around?), and of course I went. I'm not much of a drinker, though. I don't even smoke or drink coffee anymore.

She also has a very nice body...very small and petite. Good points is that she is an artist, likes animals, and is occult curious. Bad points (I always seem to run into these for some reason) she is a heavy drinker and I strongly suspect that she snorts coke....all though I can't say for sure. I have no idea how someone can be that skinny and have kids. So needless to say my heart is very, very, gaurded right now. There is something blocking me from feeling. I think that my capacity to fall in love has been drained. Maybe it is a sign...I should abandon her while my sanity is still in tact. Besides, she doesn't have very good taste in music or clothing anyway.

::shrug:: I could honestly give a fuck though. I have learned how destructive the feeling of love is and how it clouds your thinking. Besides, I'm a Man...I'm not concerned with "happiness" or other sentimental things like that...I'm more concerned with Purpose, and that Purpose is to
    A) Pay My Rent
    B) Make Money
    C) Save Money
    D) Meet my Needs
    E) Do the things that I Love

I suppose women do fall into some aspects of my Purpose, but I'm not too concerned with them right now. They cloud your mind, which causes you to get disoriented, which disrupts your ability to function, which causes you to lose your job, and bring you to ruin and woe. Of course, this doesn't happen to most people...I have this disease called "passion". It it troublesome to have but if you ever lost it you would regret it. Such an ambivalent thing this passion is!

can the ship be held together
    when the sea rages
can ones heart be held together
    when one feels love
because the heart is like the ship
and love is like the sea
    and my mind and spirit...
    they are the captains
and the sea is filled with fog
    and all may be lost
    but i continue onwards
    forever in my search
    for the mysterious one
    that beautiful sorceress
    my little black sun
who burns holes in my heart

    Top 10 Detox Foods
Posted Wed, Jan 10, 2007, 10:31 am PST
    POST A COMMENT ยป
As 2007 swings into gear, there's no better time to give your body a healthy, fresh start than now! Plus if you're thinking about lowering your weight - and your RealAge "eating clean" is a great first step. Add these 10 foods to your grocery cart and you'll get three terrific benefits:

    1. Lots of super-healthy liquids to flush out the body while pouring in nutrients.

    2. Fiber to keep your GI tract fit.

    3. Foods that energize cleansing enzymes in the liver, your body's built-in detox center.

    The top 10:

Green leafy vegetables. Eat them raw, throw them into a broth, add them to juices. Their chlorophyll helps swab out environmental toxins (heavy metals, pesticides) and is an all-round liver protector.
Lemons. You need to keep the fluids flowing to wash out the body and fresh lemonade is ideal. Its vitamin C - considered the detox vitamin - helps convert toxins into a water - soluble form that?s easily flushed away.
Watercress. Put a handful into salads, soups, and sandwiches. The peppery little green leaves have a diuretic effect that helps move things through your system. And cress is rich in minerals too.
Garlic. Add it to everything - salads, sauces, spreads. In addition to the bulb's cardio benefits, it activates liver enzymes that help filter out junk.
Green tea. This antioxidant-rich brew is one of the healthiest ways to get more fluids into your system. Bonus: It contains catechins, which speed up liver activity.
Broccoli sprouts. Get 'em at your health-food store. They pack 20 to 50 times more cancer-fighting, enzyme-stimulating activity into each bite than the grown-up vegetable.
Sesame seeds. They're credited with protecting liver cells from the damaging effects of alcohol and other chemicals. For a concentrated form, try tahini, the yummy sesame seed paste that?s a staple of Asian cooking.
Cabbage. There are two main types of detoxifying enzymes in the liver; this potent veggie helps activate both of them. Coleslaw, anyone?
Psyllium. A plant that?s rich in soluble fiber, like oat bran, but more versatile. It mops up toxins (cholesterol too) and helps clear them out. Stir powdered psyllium into juice to help cleanse your colon, or have psyllium-fortified Bran Buds for breakfast.
Fruits, fruits, fruits. They're full of almost all the good things above - vitamin C, fiber, nutritious fluids, and all kinds of antioxidants. Besides, nothing tastes better than a ripe mango, fresh berries, or a perfect pear.
